Because her ideas work in very isolated environments. While it might work in some parts of NY or SF, you can’t expect to get around a city like New Delhi or Los Angeles without a car. Half the articles she writes (basically all the anti-car stuff) are written so that she gets clicks from people who angrily comment about how she is wrong. More clicks for her = more money for her...she seems to have created a winning formula. Arguably the same formula as the formula Trump used (say something that is controversial, gather attention from people who both denounce and support what was said).

I still don’t understand why all her anti-car posts must be shared here.
You don’t go to a football game to hear a bunch of Barca fans tell you what football really is.
You don’t go to a COD game to hear everyone tell you how much better Battlefield is. You go there for COD. Even though Arma is clearly the best. :)
We go to the FP (if we do at all) to read about and see things with wheels that move and make loud noises.

It's because clicks = money so it's in Jalopniks interest to piss us off enough to click and get more angry and comment and repeatedly go back to that page to respond to comments and responses. It's the same reason the news is going to shit more viewers = more ad money so do whatever will get people to watch.

It’s because Gawker Media is a click whore of a website. Most of the bloggers get paid per click so once they find a niche (see anti-car posts or the 500 days of Christine on Gawker) they roll with it to make money. I truely believe Gawker Media is holding Jalopnik back from being a leading Automotive Media website.
